We have been having our regular BC weather again and took the opportunity to go up to the barn for some horse time. This is Gerte and you can see Candy in the background. It has been awhile since we have taken Connor up to see the horses and he was intimidated and didn't want to feed them.Friday, February 23, 2007

Pyramids & Igloos
Connor received an igloo kit in his stocking from Santa and we hadn't opened it up yet. Since he was in a building mood, we put together the igloo the next day. Sugar water is used instead of regular water for the ice and it makes for a sticky mess but I guess that is what holds the cubes together. You can see the fake snow the igloo came with too. The instructions advise that it is non-toxic, but don't eat it. And there was another warning that the snow expands rapidly so do not put it down the drain as it can clog your pipes. Connor didn't listen and sampled the fake snow, thankfully it did not clog his pipes.
I have guilt if I blog about one boy without mentioning the other. Here are 2 pictures of Darien, the first one is of him enjoying his first orange slice. The second one is a picture of him peaking out the window to watch Samson sleep in his bed. If Darien gets fussy all we have to do is put him near the dog and he is instantly fascinated and calms down.

A Conversation With Connor
Connor: Mommy, I don't wipe my snotties on my shirt anymore.
Me: That's great Connor, thank you for listening. Where did you wipe them? (I asked realizing I hadn't handed him a tissue)
Connor: I wipe them on my pants now!
I am not sure if this is progress or not?? Hopefully he will stop doing it before kindergarten (which he was enrolled in today).
