Halloween 2008

I didn't take too many Halloween pictures this year - it was too hard pushing the stroller and helping Darien up and down all the stairs. But I did get one good one:

We went to North Vancouver again to celebrate Halloween with our friends. Cinderella and the Grim Reeper are 2 of their kids (they have 3 too). Those aren't Grayden's feet sticking out of his stroller, they are 2 of his tentacles.

Connor's First Race

Connor ran his first cross-country race a couple of weeks ago. He competed against all of the other grade 1 boys in our district. Here he is waiting for his group to be called up to the starting line.Starting to get a bit nervous, and here they are almost ready to go. There were a lot of people out.Approaching the finish line! The course was 1.5 kilometres and Connor had such a bad cold that he couldn't breathe through his nose. But despite those obstacles he still came in 21st in the district! And we are so proud of him.

Pumpkin Patch 2008

We chose a pretty wet and muddy day to go to the pumpkin patch. It didn't dampen the boys' fun though and another bonus - there weren't many people there.

The Laity family have set-up many little displays along a short forest walk. Here are the boys in the dinosaur part - there is also a gnome forest, an old town complete with jail, general store and school house and there is a gold mining part too where you can pan for gold.

You can sit in a giant teepee and have juice and cookies.

Here is Darien eyeing the tempting pumpkin display.

This one looks good enough to eat.Oh, but it isn't!Grayden thought that was quite funny.Connor is petting a kid goat in the petting farm area. Here are our pumpkins!
