Pyramids & Igloos

Connor has been our little builder in the past couple of days. He transferred a large amount of sand to our front steps and built himself a pyramid. It remained a pyramid for all of 2 minutes, just long enough for me to get the camera before it was turned into a volcanoe. You can see the start of the transformation in this picture.

Connor received an igloo kit in his stocking from Santa and we hadn't opened it up yet. Since he was in a building mood, we put together the igloo the next day. Sugar water is used instead of regular water for the ice and it makes for a sticky mess but I guess that is what holds the cubes together. You can see the fake snow the igloo came with too. The instructions advise that it is non-toxic, but don't eat it. And there was another warning that the snow expands rapidly so do not put it down the drain as it can clog your pipes. Connor didn't listen and sampled the fake snow, thankfully it did not clog his pipes.

I have guilt if I blog about one boy without mentioning the other. Here are 2 pictures of Darien, the first one is of him enjoying his first orange slice. The second one is a picture of him peaking out the window to watch Samson sleep in his bed. If Darien gets fussy all we have to do is put him near the dog and he is instantly fascinated and calms down.
