Exer-saucer

We got out Connor's old exersaucer for Darien, he loved it. I had to prop hiim up with a blanket though.

Here's Darien helping me play "The Wheels on the
bus..."

One of the better moments from Connor's play date yesterday. I don't think Keaton was into the cuddling.

The Big Plop

Yeah, glad to see that we have some more family on here now. Just need you to start posting. If you only go to our blog site http://cornwellfamilyblog.blogspot.com/ you can post comments re a post (shows as a link at the bottom of post you commented on) but if you go to the blogger website http://www.blogger.com/home you can go to your dashboard to create your own post. This is where you can attach pics etc.

So Connor hates to stop playing when he is outside and we typically see him going where we "can't" see him so he can pee with us being none the wiser. Today for some reason he hightailed it inside to go to the bathroom. I came in to check on dinner and realized he had been in the bathroom for quite sometime. Rather than disrupt his privacy and incur his wrath, I waited until he was done. Here is how our conversation went (sorry in advance Connor if you happen to read this when you are older or better yet, skip to the next post):

"Connor, why didn't you put your shorts back on after going to the bathroom?"

"Because I need clean ones."

"Why?!?"

"They are wet, I washed them with water in the sink."

(Makes sense right?) "Oh, why did you have to wash them?"

"My poo was coming too quick when I was coming inside. I heard a big plop and sat down but my poopoo landed on the floor and I had to find it. Come see how I cleaned it up mommy!"

He pretty much used a half-tub of Darien's wipes and cleaned my bathroom floor and then cleaned out his swim trunks and washed his hands. I'm gratefull he didn't just leave it for me to find!!

Comparison Months 1-3

Each month when Connor would turn another month older, we took a pic of him in the same chair to show how much he was changing. We've been doing the same with Darien on our couch.

Month 1 (Darien is the top pic in each set):

Month 2:

Month 3:

Darien is definitely chubbier than Connor was!

Connor and I had a date this morning, we went swimming and out for an ice cream while Jeremy stayed home with Darien. It was fun. We'll have to do it more often - maybe then he'll stop calling me "Stupid Mommy" :(

More pics

Here are a few more of the boys.
Darien has been sleeping on his own since about 8 PM and I'm not quite sure what to do with myself!! Thought I would play around with this a bit more to see if I can figure some things out. And as you can see, I now can put the pics where I want.

In Connor's science camp today they made volcanoes. Connor's was green and he very obviously had his face right in front of the hole when it exploded; I picked up a green speckled little boy at 3:30.

In the background of the picture of Darien you can see our fire pit. We've had it going a few times now and have roasted marshmallows by the pond. And the Weeping Willow in the same pic is where Connor likes to swing. I can't believe how high he can propel himself on those branches.

Well, off to bed for me.

Introduction

A girlfriend of mine in NB has her own blog on here http://byfour.blogspot.com/ and I thought it would be cool for our family to have one too. Everyone can catch up, post weekly pics (especially of the little ones!) and not have to worry about phone charges, time changes and repeating the same story over and over :).

Connor has been going to Science camp every day this week and has been loving it. They made their own silly putty, a soda pop rocket and cupcakes so far. He is going back to preschool in less than 2 weeks and I think it is going to be good for both of us!!

Darien laughed for the first time last night, I was playing airplane with him on my knees and zooming him around (really good for those ab muscles). He absolutely loved it. I'll have to get Jeremy to take a picture that we can post.

Still trying to figure out formatting, the balloon picture should be here! Connor is up there too with Jeremy but he is ducking down because he was a bit scared. It was at a Carnivale party we attended 2 weeks ago.

Okay whatever I did wrong, I did it again. The other pic is of Darien in his cool dude shades from Nana .

So the people I had e-mail addresses for that I invited to join are (I've included relation for the benefit of both families and ofcourse this includes the entire family):

Christine - Jeremy's sister (and family)

Amanda Schippers - Harmony's sister (and family)

Rod - Jeremy's brother

Debbie - Harmony's mom

Nancy - Jeremy's mom

Patty - Harmony's aunt

Don - Harmony's dad

If you have other e-mail addresses of family that would like to be added, just let me know. The more the merrier (i.e. I don't have Andrew & Julie's info).

Okay, let's see how this goes
