It's that time of year that the salmon come on back home. We took Connor and the dog to the Alouette river to watch them and there were already a few casualties. Connor poked his find with a stick until it slipped back under the water and Samson decided to wrestle his ashore. It was about 25lbs and he had a bit of a time doing it but he did and boy weren't we glad of the lovely odour that accompanied it. This is a place called Hot Rocks, the rocks are huge and in the summer they are well - hot rocks. Very nice place to spend a sunny summer afternoon. Unfortunately though it is also very popular with the teenagers at night and you have to be careful about broken glass.

We have had unusual weather for us out here on the West Coast, clear and crisp. Why, some of our leaves are even changing colour and falling to the ground dry as opposed to a soggy mess that is almost impossible to rake up.

Ever since we started feeding Darien cereal Connor has been asking to feed him, so I relented. I wonder if there is a correlation to Connor feeding him and Darien wanting to nurse more that night!!?? (hint, check all the food on Darien's chin - which means it is NOT in his belly)In other baby news, Darien cut his first tooth last Friday and the 2nd one doesn't look too far behind. Will take a pic when they are up enough to see.
